CMR INSTRUMENTATON & SENSOR CONTROL

MARSEILLE, FRANCE, FEB, 2017:  INTERNATIONAL control, instrumentation and electrical engineering specialist CMR GROUP, the marine automation and instrumentation specialists, has supplied the French Navy’s latest maritime patrol vessel with advanced marine condition monitoring and sensor equipment.

The deal sees a fully integrated instrumentation and sensor control platform specified for the Light Patrol Vessel La Confiance, in a move that reflects CMR’s continuing expansion in the sector as one of the leading designers and suppliers of next generation marine technology.

Built at the SOCARENAM shipyard, the vessel is the latest addition to the French fleet and will undertake operational activities and patrols throughout the Caribbean from its permanent base in French Guiana.

The new CMR installation features an Integrated Alarm and Control System (IACS), Power Management System (PMS), and a Remote Control System (RCS) for the propulsion system.

The specification also sees advanced sensor technology supplied to monitor the marine engine pipe and exhaust gas temperatures from the two ABC 12DZC engines.

The alarm system contains 860 hardwired channels alongside a 600 Serial input CW communication protocol Modbus RTU interfaced with engine, fire detection, HVAC, PMS, propulsion and power supply systems.
