FURTHER EXPANSION FOR CMR IN ASIA

BANGKOK, THAILAND, FEB, 2017: INTERNATIONAL control, instrumentation and electrical engineering specialist CMR Group has officially launched its new automation engineering service in Thailand to meet the demand for system integration and technical expertise.

The firm will lead the development in customized automation architecture design, PLC DCS SCADA programming, power quality improvement and power monitoring solution design, LV MV switchboard maintenance, and protective relay testing and onsite installation and commissioning under General Manager Schwanwit Wongwetprasit.

Schwanwit added that the automation sector, which has seen rapid growth in recent years, will require precision engineering expertise to service the hundreds of manufacturing facilities coming on stream across the country.

“Thailand will be a key market for industrial automation engineering services and we are positioned for expansion on the back of a strong team of highly skilled and experience specialists,” he said.

“We will be harnessing all this demand to catapult us forward in other markets and other territories, as part of an overarching growth strategy for CMR in the Asia Pacific region.”

He added that a skilled and growth-driven team will allow CMR Thailand to meet customer requirements ‘with a strong sense for technology and innovation’ under the supervision of local professionals with close industry ties.

Working to support Schwanwit will be sales manager Yothin Mamongkol who has close links with the automotive industry.

With ambitious growth plans for 2017, it will be targeting opportunities opening up for manufacturing service and maintenance work following government approval for the construction of new sugar mills and power plants.

Trading as CMR Thailand, the Bangkok-based operation will provide a range of engineering services, including electrical switchboard supply and fabrication, to the country’s sugar mill, starch, automotive, and food and beverage manufacturers, as well as utility suppliers.

CMR Thailand has expertise in industry-specific applications based on Siemens, Schneider and Rockwell automation platforms, and is part of CMR Group, which supplies instrumentation and controls for offshore platforms and vessels, marine, engines and industrial applications around the world.
